about

What is an Exile? It's obviously referenced a lot here so I better have at least some sort of explanation right? Well in the way I see it we are all exiles in two ways.
The first, something is definitely wrong with us and when I say us there is no exclusions. The way we perceive life screams something has gone wrong. Death one of the ultimate sorrows brings upon a grief to a person that science can't explain. It's like the human mind wasn't ready to process the fact that we can lose people. We feel we weren't made for these struggles this present life gives us. Now some will try to explain these deeper feelings away with logic and hypothetical philosophies that will fail when put to action, only in hopes to cling to the fact that humans are what they are supposed to be. But as we get older we almost grow numb to the endless evil in this world on the news it's almost like we expect it, so when we see a good deed they say it automatically offsets all the damage of the evil. These statistics of people that we hear affected by evil, such as, genocides, sex slaves, gang violence, all these are LIVES, real people feeling very real things. So we have "moral" people on the sidelines of this mess claiming every good deed they can out of their own selfish ambition. For people born in this world it is natural to seek their own pleasure. So if there were to be a hero for all that is wrong and the hero had to be completely selfless, humans would be exiled from taking this position.
The second aspect, we are forced into a system where we don't belong. Society teaches us the set of norms that we are supposed to follow and each member is given a role. Except the trick is our roles in society are like a dark fantasy that is never met. We are not satisfied where we are at because there is always another thing to go for. We are never ready to die because there will always be another dollar to get, another girl to pick up, more power to obtain. In this system of what we are expected to do, we will never find satisfaction. This aspect of the exile is more recognized and many suicidal people find this one out quickly. They feel as they have failed their role and don't belong in it, completely worthless. But there is a cure. I never claimed that being an exile is a bad thing. It's actually something I treasure in but only for one reason. The hero I was talking about earlier, the one that had to be completely selfless, he actually existed. It is Jesus, and I'm not talking sunday school Jesus, backed by ridiculous stereotypes and politically charged religion. No I am talking about a perfect man, think about that, a perfect man, who became an exile in the second sense even though he never needed to. Because he became an Exile in the second sense so that I wouldn't have to be an Exile in the first sense, I am doing what I was made to do, only through him. So the real question is are you an Exile?
